Conviction
2 Timothy 3
What is a conviction?
- A belief that we are convinced of and by which we order our lives—even with the potential of personal cost.
- A conviction is only as useful as the truth it’s built upon.
Truth and convictions:
1. The ultimate source of truth is God.
2. We do not possess our own truth.
3. We have the responsibility to pursue, discern, understand and respond to truth.
4. We build belief systems based on our perception of truth.
5. Our belief system ultimately determines our conduct.
6. We need to take the right approach to truth.
