First Five / Final Five:

- Take the first five minutes of each day to READ God’s Word, and the final five minutes of your day to REFLECT on God’s Work in your life.

The Big Idea:

· In your own words, how would you summarize the main idea of the message?

From the Message:

· Where in your life do you struggle the most with doubt?  What are some specific doubts that you have at the moment?

· What in this story most resonated with you?

· Some Bible characters were mentioned who struggled with doubt.  How did they overcome it?

· What is our role in faith?  What is God’s?  Do you ever feel like you don’t have enough faith for God?  Do you think you are right?

From Scripture:

· Matthew also tells this story in chapter 17:14-22, but he gives more attention to the lesson that he wanted the disciples to learn?  How would you summarize it?

Think it through / Talk it over:

· Do you consider the church a safe place to deal with your doubt?  Why or why not?  How could it be safer?

· Do you think that doubt is a sin?  Or do you think that it can be sinful?  When?  And why?

· What is something that you need to pray about right now?  What is an action that you could take in that situation that would be a
demonstration of faith?

Take a Step:

- Truth transforms us only as we take action.  What is that one step you need to take?
