WATERFORD COMMUNITY CHURCH - 11:00am SUNDAY WORSHIP

Mission Partners with Midwest Messianic Center

GOALS:

There are three main goals that we have had at the Center for as long as I can remember. I first came in contact with the Center in 1972 when I was less that a year old in the Lord. The former Director followed these three goals as well. I learned them from him and continue to apply them to my ministry here at the Center

  1. A very strong emphasis on evangelism. We pray constantly for the Lord to open doors for us. This is what Paul requested from the Colossian church. Col. 4:2-4 - Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving; 3 praying at the same time for us as well, that God will open up to us a door for the word, so that we may speak forth the mystery of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned; 4 that I may make it clear in the way I ought to speak. Over the years we have seen God answer this request in a very specific way.
  2. A very strong emphasis on discipleship. This has been a core ministry at the Center for decades. I am always desirous to be discipling a minimum of three men on a weekly basis at any given time. I also hold Bible teaching classes for larger groups several times during the week.
  3. A very strong emphasis on educating local Bible believing churches about God’s special plan for Israel and how that plan for Israel is the means for blessing those from a Gentile background if they are true believers. These goals, which have shaped our ministry have become a source of tremendous joy and blessing for all of us here at the Center.

Another major vision and goal that we have is to never change the clear message of the gospel. We try not to be personally offensive, but we know there is no way to approach a Jewish person, or even many who are coming from a Gentile background, without the potential of the message of the truth offending them. With that being said, we do not want to water down the gospel in any way, so we seek to speak the truth in love.
