Brent was born in Grand Rapids but moved to Indiana while young (and thus, often refers to himself as a Hoosier). He served in ministry at the same church in South Bend for over 20 years before relocating himself to Michigan in 2009, and became pastor at WCC in 2010. He and his wife Kelly have three kids – two in college, and one teaching high school English in Wisconsin.
Mark is a native Waterford resident who just moved back into town from Petoskey. He brings over thirty years of ministry experience to our team, serving for the past ten years as a campus pastor /lead pastor. Mark oversees our ministry and operations, putting his administrative talents to good use. He is married to Sue, and the father of three (and proud grandfather of 2!).
Lindsay is a homegrown talent. She oversees all kids stuff from birth to 5th grade – and is passionate about helping kids connect to adults who love them, and love Jesus!
She’s also a wife – and mom to two boys who are committed to keeping her life interesting.
Gary heads our financial team – and keeps all of the books in order. A long-time WCCer, we brought him out of retirement to make use of his adminstrative skills.
music and media
Chris is the newest member of our staff, and brings his passion for worship to our music team. He grew up in the area, is a U of M Flint grad, and is currently working on his MDiv at Moody Theological seminary. Chris is also a newlywed, getting married in June 2017.
WCC is fortunate to have a great group of elders who provide leadership to the church. Elders are divided into two groups – those actively serving (board), and those who are not officially serving (body). Our elder also provide spiritual care to the church, and all members/attenders have an elder to check in with them periodically to offer support and encouragement.
