Back Story

In 1869, shortly after the end of the Civil War, two brothers decided to start a church in Waterford, so they went door-to-door soliciting donations for what would become the Waterford Community Church.

That was a long time ago, and much has changed in the past 147 years – in our world, but also at the church. We are much less formal, we use current modern worship styles, and almost everyone drives a car to church.

Yet some things are still the same. We’re still all about people, because they matter to God. We’re still about the Bible, and believe that it connects with life today. And we’re still about the community, that’s why we’re committed to making a hands-on difference in the Waterford area.
