From the beginning the goal of the enemy has been to divide – think Adam and Eve and how he caused separation from God and each other.  But the ministry of the Spirit is to bring unity, especially in the body of Christ.   This week’s passages explore how even though we are all different whether by culture or gender or race or even demographics, we should be one in Christ.  Life happens when we come together.

Thursday | Ephesians 2:11-16

  • As a Gentile (assuming you are one), how did/does Jesus give you equal status with the Jew?
  • Why do hostilities often arise between people groups?  
  • What is the “new man” that Paul talks about?
