the round up

This is it (kinda)

Tonight is the last night of our youth programs until fall. We'll still be doing the usual one more time. Dinner will be served starting at 5:45 p.m., and the programs follow at 6:30 p.m.

Summer Kickoff Field Day

And this is the "kinda" part. We have a big "bring on the summer" event planned for next Wednesday night, May 31, for kids and families K-12. We're starting with a pizza feast, then everyone will be part of four teams competing for the grand prize (Which is what? I have no clue - but just saying that you won is a reward in and of itself!). It will get started at 6:30 p.m.

Band of Brothers Breakfast

Our next men's breakfast will be on Saturday, June 3, at 8:00 a.m. Looks like pancakes are on the menu. And probably bacon. Bacon is a must. Good food, good conversations, good encouragement. And feel free to bring a friend.

Mission Voice Network

Tony Evans, a former member of WCC who moved to Tennessee a long while ago, will be back and visiting with us on Sunday, June 4. Tony is associated with MVN which is an organization working with national pastors in India and helping them spread the gospel. Tony will be sharing in the 9:45 hour, and then again briefly in the morning service.

May Challenge

We want to encourage you to "own" your personal spiritual growth, so each month in 2023 we are issuing a simple challenge that might help you take a step of faith. In May, we are challenging you to memorize a verse each week. You can pick the verse, but we will also be providing a suggestion.

This week's verse is Hebrews 12:15 (CSB)

15 Make sure that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no root of bitterness springs up, causing trouble and defiling many.

Even if you are not a great memorizer, you can still write out / print out this verse and put it somewhere where you will see it often and be encouraged to think about it!
Blog comments will be sent to the moderator
